33. Programos aprašymo santrauka anglų kalba (Summary of the Profile of a Study Programme) General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare creatively and critically thinking law specialists who would know the Lithuanian legal system and would gain knowledge of international law. Specialists would be able to analyze, evaluate and correctly apply legal norms in solving practical problems and who would be able to work independently in various fields of professional activity.
Learning outcomes:
1. 1. Knows the principles of national constitutional and ordinary law, Lithuanian legal system, norms of international public or private European Union law and applies the acquired knowledge in professional activities while solving specific legal problems.
2. 2. Able to perform analysis of the problems, scientific-empirical research in formulating research goals and objectives, analyzing data and drawing conclusions. Ability to collect information from various sources and analyze it using modern information technologies and databases.
3. Able to analyze various legal documents and assess their period of validity, asess the territory of validity and validity for individuals, as well as to identify the specific legal rules governing the activities of individuals. Ability to represent individuals in accordance with the requirements of professional ethics and appropriate treatment of confidential information, using internal and environmental resources.
4. Able to critically evaluate their own and other activities, knowledge and values. Able to use the language in which studies are conducted orally and in writing, to express one's thoughts fluently in it. Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with professionals in their field and others. Able to impartially solve practical problems.
5. Able to learn independently in their field of activity, choosing the direction of improvement. Able to create new ideas in practice, adapt to innovations and changing conditions. Able to plan their time and organize their activities. Willing to assume general ethical obligations related to honesty and duty.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, seminars, practicums, discussions, analysis of legal acts, analysis of court practice, simulation, brainstorming, case and situation analysis (problem solving), independent work (information search and analysis, reflection, activity analysis, data analysis), legal processes monitoring and discussion, educational games, group work, projects, preparation of draft documents, working with texts.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Accumulative assessment system is used. Assessment form of the subjects – exam or project. The formula used for accumulative assessment system for the subject final assessment is: FA=0.5*IA+ 0.5*E (FA-final assessment, IA – intermediate assessments, E-exam). The final evaluation of the internship consists of the sum of the arithmetic mean of the practical activity (in the internship institution) and the internship report / project evaluations multiplied by the weighting coefficients assigned to them: FA = 0.4 PV + 0.6 Prj. The final assessment of the module consists of the sum of the assessments of the intermediate assessments (colloquium, presentation of case studies, tests, presentation of group work, presentation of legislation and case law analysis, presentation of analysis of legal sources, analysis of scientific literature (preparation of a report), assessment of language practice, linguistic analysis of text, work with dictionary and translation from foreign language and vice versa, compilation of a portfolio of competencies, preparation and presentation of final work methods and organizational part, presentation of information source search and processing tasks, concept mapping, case and situation analysis presentation, written survey, presentation of independent work, individual work, written work, presentation of Power Point, presentation of legal public speech, presentation of practical tasks, verbal illustrated presentation, submission of draft legislation, submission of draft procedural documents, a summary of the self-acquired during experiential training, presentation and defends of the practice report/project, preparation and defense of term paper, final work) of the subject and the examination (integrated examination) multiplied by the weighting coefficients assigned to them. A formula is applied, FA = 0.5E + 0.5 IU (* IU1 + * IU2 + * IU3) or FA= 0.4E + 0.6 IU, where IU1; IU2; IU3 - intermediate assessments of subjects; * weighting factor). The intermediate assessment of the module is indicated in the description of the module.

Modules: Improvement of General Competences, Paradigm of law, Law Research, Constitutional Law, Civil Law, Administrative and Administrative Process Law, Law Enforcement authorities, Criminal and Criminal Process Law, Legal Communication, International Law, Final practice. Final work. Alternative modules A1. Pre-trial proceedings/A2.Preparation and management of legal documents.
Subjects: Finance and taxes Law, Labour law, Civil process Law, Enforcement Process Law.
Professional practices: Cognitive Practice; Practices
(Law Enforcement Activities, Specializations, Final) are integrated into the modules.
Specializations:
1. A1. Pre-trial procedings (Pre-trial investigation, Criminalistics, Specialization practice, Term project)
2. A2. Preparation and management of legal documents (Preparation and management of procedural documents, Data protection, Specialization practice, Term project).
Optional courses:
Alternative modules. Subjects from the common elective list of College (Corruption and its Prevention, Criminal Intelligence, Public Procurement, Intellectual Property Protection is proposed).
Distinctive features of a study programme:
It is a universal study program, wide applicability, study programme oriented to labour market needs. The basis of the program (80%) consists of modules. The study results of these modules allow the acquisition of certain legal competencies.

After graduating the individuals can work as lawyers in all institutions providing law services: Notary Public Bureaus, Courts, Law firms, Court Bailiff bureaus, Police, other institutions, companies, organizations or individual can deliver services individually.
The possibilities of further study:
Graduates may seek the validation for study results if they want study according first level study programs of University. After finishing additional studies or complying to other requirements defined by high school graduates, individuals have a right to enter second level master studies.
