General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare qualified electronic engineering specialists in the field of transportation providing them with the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to professionally maintain, diagnose, repair, design and implement automobile electronic systems which are constantly developed and commonly used in the global market; establish and manage companies providing these services to LR and other foreign enterprises.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and its application:
Will know general regularities and laws of natural sciences and mathematics in order to understand necessary fundamental basics of Electronics Engineering study field.
Will get acquainted with the most important concepts of Electronics engineering study field, will be able to understand their content.
Will gain the key knowledge in Electronics engineering study field that are important in practice.
Will know the context of problems and their solutions of adjacent study fields.
Will be able to apply knowledge and familiar methods for solving problems of Electronics engineering study field.
Will be able to apply knowledge while analysing engineering tasks and choosing the right methods, experimental and manufacturing facilities to tackle them.
Will be able to apply analytical and modelling methods for solution of engineering problems in Electronics engineering study field.
Competences to carry out research:
Will be able to find proper professional information using data bases and other scientific and engineering information resources. Will carry out necessary tests for solving engineering problems, process their results and present practical conclusions of these results. Will be able to apply engineering knowledge while formulating and carrying out the design tasks in accordance with the laid down requirements. Will comprehend the importance of the impact of engineering decisions on society and environment, will obey the norms of professional ethics and engineering activities, understand responsibility for the results of engineering activities.
Will be aware of the main aspects of project implementation and management on the level of engineering activities.
Will comprehend the importance of individual lifelong learning and will prepare for it.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, consultations, practical tasks and course papers, individual work, practices of professional activities. Students accomplish practical tasks individually or in groups.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The student‘s knowledge, skills and abilities acquired while studying subjects of a study programme are assessed after completing of individual assignments performed during the semester and exam session. The achieved learning outcomes after completion of subject/module studies are assessed attributing them to the levels of achievement: excellent, typical and threshold.

Mathematics, Physics, Materials Engineering, Applied programs, Engineering Graphics, Automobile Construction, Applied Mechanics, Electrotechnics, Electronic and Automation, Internal Combustion Engines and Electronics, Analog and Digital Devices, Data Transmission Systems, Electrical Measurements, Microprocessors and Controllers, Theory of Economics, Design Management, Engineering Economics, Applied Research, Electric and Electronic Devices and Control, Electronic Engine Management Systems (EEMS), Electronic Systems of Hybrid and Electric Automobiles, Diagnostics Systems, Active and Passive Safety Systems, Security and Comfort Systems, Programming.
Special Study Subjects:
Law, optional subjects by choice of students (Interdisciplinary project, Science shops project, Alternative Energy Sources in Automobiles, Technical Expertise, Automobile Maintenance Materials, Intellectual Traffic Control Systems, Traffic Safety, Transport Ecology, Automobile Technical Maintenance, Robotics – selected three of them).

Practical Training, Practice of Electronic Equipment Regulating, Industrial Practice, Technological Practice, Final Practice.
Completion of Studies:
Studies are completed by defending the Final work individually prepared by a student.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
The quality of studies of this study programme is assured by new laboratories, equipped with modern facilities and cooperation of the college with Lithuanian and foreign business enterprises and educational institutions. Students have possibility to obtain the latest theoretical knowledge, abilities and practical skills in the supervision area of transport electricity and electronics in cooperation with lecturers – practitioners, researchers. Students are taught to diagnose faults of automobile electrical and electronic systems, to find out their reasons, to eliminate problems, to analyse and apply the alternative energy accumulation sources, technologies, characteristics and perform necessary technical and economical calculations, to perform installation, diagnosis and tuning of electronic systems. During studies students prepare real works of experimental development, take part in scientific-practical conferences and international projects. Students participate in international exchange programme “Erasmus+”: go to study or for professional activities internships to the other countries of European Union.
Access to professional activity or further study:
The graduate of the study program of Automobile Electronics can work in transportation field, in LR and other countries maintenance and repair enterprises, which provide electronic and electricity diagnostic services, trading of transport means and their components organizations, in the enterprises engaged in selling transport means equipment and in maintenance companies as the automotive diagnostic specialists, designers, engineers, company heads or division directors.
Graduate can continue his/her studies having chosen university study programmes in the field of Electronics Engineering.
