General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of Image Design programme is to prepare a specialist who is able to analyse fashion tendencies, to create an individual and institution employee image, to work independently and in a team, to develop skills necessary to start one's own business.
Learning outcomes:
1. Information management and communication
• To handle different information and communication technologies and accumulate subject specific information from various sources.
• To analyse and systematize different information, evaluate fashion trends and styles.
2. Ability to perform research
• To analyse the situation, critically, constructively and reasonable evaluate their own work and the work of others, to formulate and creatively solve problems.
• To reflect on the changes in contemporary Visual Arts and the material environment and to purposefully update the knowledge.
• To analyse moral, cultural, social and economic aspects and set priorities
3. Special skills
• To communicate in Lithuanian and foreign languages in speciality-centred situations.
• To collaborate with persons of different cultures and in working and social environment when seeking for common objectives.
4. Social skills
• To select proper strategies for task implementation and provide optimal creative solutions.
• To plan their time for the set task implementation, to work independently and creatively, to apply subject specific knowledge in problem -centred tasks solving.
5. Personal skills
• To evaluate the client's appearance and his needs, financial possibilities, and to consult on the issues regarding the image creation and style.
• To evaluate fashion trends and styles when emphasising individuality and originality; to investigate the need for professional image creation.
• To provide a reasonable and substantiated artistic concept of a stylistic image.
• To visualise the ideas of the image created when applying different methods and techniques of artistic expression.
• To apply design principles and elements when creating artistic projects.
• To prepare individual artistic and commercial projects commissioned by the client.
• To implement individual image projects.
• To present creative works to the public and market.
• To be aware of the principles of creative processes as well as advertising and legal matters.
• To manage the image package and technically implement creative projects.
• To analyse the peculiarities of Business Management and its accountability, to forecast the creative business results.
• To apply operational market mechanisms when planning activities and to administer creative and manufacturing business.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Are focused on development of general and special competences and creativity education: lectures, professional practice, discussions, individual and group project works, public presentations and defence, information search and systematization and etc.
Methods of assessment of learning outcomes:
Evaluation of learning outcomes is performed applying the cumulative assessment during the entire semester and exam session. Learning outcomes are evaluated through the intermediate settlements: test, project, project public presentation and defence, individual creative tasks, seminars, term papers, practice reports, seminars, exams and final project.

organize the individual and commercial projects according to the needs of a customer and implement them; to present a project to a customer and society by following the principles of design and advertising.

The qualification gives access to work in the enterprises of beauty industry, entertainment industry, to work as a consultant in the private and state enterprises, to create individual image, to develop and manage fashion business.
Acquired skills allow opportunities to continue studies at Lithuanian and foreign universities (arts, technological and social sciences study programs directions).
