Objective(s) of a study programme:
Programme) Aim of the study program–to prepare a a
highly qualified graphic communication
design specialist, who understands the
tools and principles of visual expression
needed for his professional activity, based
on the historical development of art and
design, contemporary visual language and
art trends as well as technological
innovations, using computer graphic
programs, the requirements for forming
the visual identity universe and other
visual expression skills, taking into
account modern innovations and possible
future scenariosand: able to collect,
summarize and adapt the data necessary
for the development of a communication
product; able to utilize design as a tool,
formulating and solving visual
communication issues; capable of
creating high-quality graphic design
objectsinitiate and implement creative
graphic design projects.
Learning outcomes:
A1. Understanding the principles and
methods of visual expression, visual
communication strategies, design methods,
and having good technological knowledge.
The knowledge of the future capabilities of
creatively and practically adapting to the
creation of specific graphic design objects,
realizing creative ideas and creative and
communicative graphic design projects.
A2.Understanding the contexts, concepts,
processes, innovations and trends of art
and design, getting familiar with the basics
of art philosophy and psychology. Ability
to apply it purposefully and creatively in
its creative practice in cooperation with
representatives of other fields and creators.
A3. Knowledge of intellectual property,
copyright protection, business
management. Ability to apply knowledge
in professional activities, work in
interdisciplinary projects and in
cooperation with business representatives
or partners.
B 1. Ability to recognize, compare and
critically evaluate graphic design
phenomena and trends, draw conclusions,
formulate and shape creative solutions
based on them.
B 2. Ability to collect, compare, analyze
and systematize the information, covering
design, innovations, technologies, and
psychology necessary for the
implementation of a creative graphic
design project. The collected and
structured information can be used in the
design process. Using design as a tool for
formulating and solving visual
communication issues.
C 1.Using knowledge of design contexts,
concepts, design innovations and trends,
technologies and visual expression tools
and techniques and practical skills in
technology, computer program
management, drawing, composition,
ability to create graphic design objects and
integrate them into an interdisciplinary,

C 2. Using visual communication
