Future bricklayers and furnace makers take in-class courses about the structure of buildings; general construction methods; the construction and renovation of furnaces, fireplaces, stoves and chimneys; laying bricks; plastering; the characteristics and use of materials; the basics of electrical engineering; drawing and understanding drawings; the regulations and requirements applicable in construction; operating various types of equipment and tools; preparing various materials for use; laying foundations; etc.
Field training is conducted in educational workshops and companies that construct and renovate buildings. Field training lasts 49 weeks and helps consolidate skills such as constructing furnaces and fireplaces and plastering walls.
