General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of the Programme is to prepare socially responsible business administration professionals meeting the needs of modern society, to provide students with solid scientific base of business administration, to develop students’ abilities to understand, analyse, and assess business processes responding appropriately to the changing business conditions, and to make the most appropriate decisions of business administration taking into account existing or anticipated needs of business environment.

Subject specific competencies developed:
Ability to develop plans, social programmes and projects for fulfilment of clients' social needs by mobilizing personal, group, society resources and empowering them for self-help and changes in life quality. Ability to organise and provide empowering social assistance for individuals, groups, communities in the context of interinstitutional cooperation. Ability critically assess quality of social assistance services and initiate an improvement of social assistance following the principles of social justice and responsibility, human rights, values and ethics of social work. Ability to coordinate activities of social assistance and cooperate in an interdisciplinary team by taking social responsibility and initiating assistance which empowers and meets the needs of individuals in a multicultural environment. Ability to demonstrate tolerance and respect for social variety in a multicultural context following the values of social work and ethical requirements. Ability reflectively assess own and colleagues’ professional practice, analyse professional and personal development in the context of life-long learning.
Learning outcomes:
After completing the Programme graduates acquire the following learning outcomes: know and understand the main theories of economics and management and are able to integrate them wen making business administration decisions Know and understand the importance of entrepreneurship and social responsibility, are able to create and manage business development projects. Are able to analyse business environment and make business recourse management decisions. Are able to ethically administer hunan recourses, interact and communicate in a professional and non-professional environment. Are able to provide reasoned marketing / logistics proposals to solve business problems; Are able to analyze and evaluate personal abilities, to study independently.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Studies of subjects/modules are organized applying the following study forms: lectures, workshops, and laboratory works, as well as individual and group consultations. The studies are oriented towards the support of students’ active learning. In the programme teaching/learning strategies holistically developing cognitive, professional, and transferable abilities are applied: learning through communication and cooperation in groups, problem based learning. They are realized applying the methods developing student’s critical, creative and constructive thinking: conception maps, documents, case analysis, social research, role-plays, modelling, individual and group reflection, portfolio of learning achievements, etc. Application of these strategies and methods expands students’ abilities to learn about their professional activity and future professional field while communicating with business people and representatives of other professions transmitting information, discussing the issues of ideas, raising problems and making decisions.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The system of accumulative evaluation is being applied except for the final Bachelor’s work. The study results are evaluated through: written and oral exam, report (case/situation analysis), essay, written assignment, presentation, test, conception map, self-evaluation and colleagues’ evaluation, portfolio of learning achievements.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
Study subjects include the method of problem learning or its elements. The programme includes innovative model of practical learning according to WIL methodology (Work Integrated Learning). Practical learning is organized using virtual environment and toolkits (Plan of student’s professional development, reflection on its implementation). All study subjects can be studied using the method of mixed distance learning in Moodle learning environment.
