Future bachelors of biology study plant anatomy and morphology, cytology, histology and embryology, zoology of the invertebrates, vertebrate zoology, mycology and algology, systematics of plants, human anatomy, plant physiology, general genetics, etc. In addition, they study pedagogy and psychology, health education, a foreign language, didactics and methodologies of teaching biology.
Practical studies take place in two stages: work in laboratories and in the nature and pedagogical practice at school. The duration of practical studies is 400 hours. They consolidate and develop the competencies of work with children, biology teaching practice, organisational work, etc.
