Summary of the Profile

In theoretical classes, future barbers are taught the technology of barber‘s work, material science, cleanliness and hygiene, aesthetics and customer care, safety at work, the basics of drawing, a foreign language for use in the profession, dealing with electronic cash registers, accounting, accountability, and an introduction to business.
Practical training takes place in barbers’ shops and beauty salons. The duration of practical training is 13.6 weeks. Haircutting, hairdressing, and other skills are reinforced and improved during the practical training.
To enrol on the training programme for barbers, a person must be at least 18 years of age.
