Activities of teaching and learning:
The study forms usually used for knowledge conveyance and the education of abilities are lectures, workshops and seminars, etc. Various methods are used: theoretical lecture, case study (task modelling), design, situation analysis and interpretation, task solving, research interviews, individual research, etc. Research and special full skills are formed organising practical and laboratory works. In order to implement these learning aims, the following study methods are used: group and individual work, debates, discussions, project work, creative tasks, etc. Using such forms and methods of studies, not only practical full skills, but also communicational, individual independent learning, pursuing to improve continuously in professional area full skills are formed.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
A cummulative asessment of learning outcomes in scores is applied. Students shall accumulate at least 40 % of their final assessment before a particular exam or differentiated credit, they shall have at least 2-3 marks. Assessment criteria are introduced to students during the introductory lecture of every study subject. The assessment of subjects is performed using the following formulas:
The assessment of a differentiated credit shall consist of a derivative cumulative assessment score (tests, control works, etc.), which shall be derived in the last lecture using the assessment formula presented by the collage of higher education teacher in the module card.
Exam assessment (recommended formula; upon the consent of the Study Quality Supervision Committee, the assessment formula may be amended): V=0,4CA+0,6E; CA – cumulative assessment (tests, control works, etc.), E – exam score.
Assessment of the report on practice: the final assessment score of students’ practices consists of the assessment by the practice advisor, the assessment of the report on practice and the score for the defence of the practice.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
The distinguishing features of the CNA study programme performed by the College:
Learning aims based on the needs of the society and labour market: designated to prepare i IT engineers able to analyse and asses the condition of the hardware and software of computers and their systems, diagnose and troubleshoot failures in consideration of the customer’s needs, to develop, implement and administer economically and technologically the design of computer networks.
Excellent facilities and material base ensuring the formation of practical skills: computer network, computer architecture laboratories with the latest hardware and software, distance learning environment, and methodological resources.
The visualisation of the study environment: virtual workplaces enable students to use the latest IT achievements, hardware and software not only at College but also individually at home.
The conformity of the study environment with the special needs of disabled people: well equipped computerised workplaces to physically handicapped students, virtualised workplaces enable students to study with their individual intensity.
In comparison with similar programmes offered by universities, the higher education college CNA study programme pays more attention to the analysis, solving of technical and technological tasks as well as the adaptation thereof to particular needs of an enterprise, it is oriented towards practical activities.
