General Description: Objective(s) of a study programme: To develop a creatively thinking, responsible surveying specialist who is able to manage geodetic framework, to draw topographic plans, stake out reference points

and markers that will guide the construction of new structures, verify the location of structures during construction, make the control geodetic measurements, to identify and clarify cadastral data of real objects, use, organize and update public spatial data sets, know how to set up a business enterprise, make independent decisions and seek for professional development. Learning outcomes: Upon completion of the study programme the graduate will: 1. Knows and applies general mathematical, physical, and engineering methods to comprehend the fundamentals of measurement engineering. 2. Knows basic geodesy, cartography, spatial information infrastructure, cadastre, and territorial planning relevant to practice. 3. Able to perform geodetic works applying the principles, methodologies, legal provisions, technical regulations of geodesy, cartography, and construction. 4. Able to solve the tasks of geodesy, cartography, real estate cadastre, territorial planning and construction, applying the principles of engineering analysis. 5 Able to apply the knowledge of engineering and economics to formulate and perform design tasks following defined requirements 6. Able to apply the methodologies of project and plan development used in measurement engineering following regulatory legal documents. 7. Able to apply professional information to develop practical geodesy projects, cartography, real estate cadastre and territorial planning, task solving, and presenting results. 8. Able to apply specialized hardware and software to solve measurement engineering issues. 9. Applies geodetic and mapping methods to solve applied engineering tasks and develop various plans and maps following regulatory legislation. 10. Able to make solutions for site-level spatial planning documents following legal documents and specifications. 11. Knows how to prepare real estate cadastre data files for legal registration of real estate. 12. Develops geospatial data sets using geodetic and remote sensing technologies. 13. Able to present team and individual projects and ideas assessing the impact of engineering decisions on society and the environment, demonstrating independence and adhering to professional ethics 14. Plans personal professional development by constantly updating engineering and general skills. Written exam, testing with closed and / or open questions, report and defense of internships and laboratory work, report of self-study or team course paper, written work and oral presentations, professional bachelor thesis and its defense. Practical Training (31 credits): Training Internship of Geodetic Measurements, Training Internship of Digital Planning and Determining of Cadastral Data, Training Internship of Engineering Geodesy, Training Internship of Precision Geodetic Measurements / Training Internship of Real Estate administration, Final Professional Internship. Professional Bachelor Thesis (12 credits) Specialisations: Applied Geodesy (21 credits): Higher Geodesy, Engineering Geodesy 2, Engineering Geodetic Research, Smart Engineering Solutions, Management and Analysis of Spatial Data in Engineering Infrastructure, Specialization Coursework. Optional courses: Optional courses subjects (9 credits): Applied Research Methodology, Mobile Application for Data Collection and Visualization, Career Planning, From the List of Freely Elective Courses offered by KK Distinctive features of a study programme: Studies are student – centred, based on specific practical tasks, usage of latest technologies of geodetic instruments and specialized computer software; also based on teamwork, problem solving, basics of actual practical skills and research, promoting professional thinking, and rational application of theoretical knowledge in practice. Access to professional activity or further study: Access to professional activity: After the acquisition of the qualification of geodesy engineer graduates can work as surveyors, geodesists,

in various state institutions, land planning departments, State Land Fund departments, municipal urban planning departments, real estate agencies, individual enterprises, private limited companies, the activity area and nature of which are related with territory planning, geodetic, cadastral measurements, real estate formation, registration and evaluation, engineering, preparation of cartographic material for the implementation of different tasks, they can also set up their own business and workplaces for other people. Work in education, training and design public and private organisations, which are related to various forms of cartography work. Access to further study: Graduates who have completed supplementary studies or requirements set by the higher school of education have the right to study upon the second cycle master's degree programme in Lithuanian or foreign universities.
