General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of International Business study programme is to train the international business managers able to analyse international business environment, communicate and cooperate with foreign partners and clients, apply the business management principles and provisions of international business regulations by planning and organising international business activities in the company or its department.
Learning outcomes:
1. Knows the principles of functioning of global business markets and sustainable development.
2. Able to apply the theories of economics and business management, as well as legal acts that regulate the international business in practice.
3. Able to analyse the international business environment, perform applied researches for solving specific business problems, to plan the possibilities of international business development.
4. Able to analyse and assess the international activity results of a business company.
5. Able to plan and organise the international trade processes by responsibly managing the company’s resources.
6. Able to choose the right tools for creating the added value of the exported product for the different foreign markets.
7. Able to plan and organise business in the e-environment/ Able to plan the international marketing activities of the business company for the different markets and analyse the changing market trends/
8. Able to demonstrate the negotiating management skills, work in a team, communicate and cooperate in the multicultural and multilingual business surroundings.
9. Able to understand the moral responsibility for the activity of own results on the society, follow the value attitudes of the company and provide reasoned solutions for the business problem solving.
10. Able to demonstrate independence and creativity by making managerial decisions, implementing and developing business innovations.
11. Able to plan career and trends of self-educations by applying the acquired knowledge and skills for continuous improvement.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, seminars, discussion, practical assignments, problem teaching, preparation of projects, teaching projects in the business companies, case study, group assignments, video situation analysis, situation modelling, role-play, debates, brainstorming, demonstration, case study, information search and analysis, consulting, etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The System of Accumulative Assessment is used. Methods of assessment: individual/group integrated projects or/and course paper, inquiry (written, oral), testing, report on a case study and its presentation, report on a video situation and its presentation, project report, preparation and delivery of presentation, reports, presentation of practical work, presentation of idea mapping, project group presentation, presentation of individual assignments, essay, final thesis etc.

General studies -15 credits:
Economics (Microeconomics and Macroeconomics; Business Mathematics and Statistics; Basics of Applied Researches);
Study field modules - 150 credits:
1. Study modules (105 credits):
Basics of International Business (International Business Environment, Basics of Business Organization, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Legal Regulation of International Business); International Business Communication (Business English, Intercultural Communication, Communication Psychology), Business Management (Management; Marketing; Business Accounting), Sustainable Enterprise Resource Management (Enterprise Economics, Human Resource Management, Business Management Systems, Finance), Export and Import Management (International Trade; Supply Chain Management; International Business Law, International Negotiation), study modules in E-Business/ International Marketing specialisations.
2. Professional Internship (International Business Process Simulation; Professional Internship in a Business Enterprise) (30 credits);
3. Final Theses (Final Internship, Final Project) - 15 credits.
Specialisations:
E-business (30 credits): E-business Organization (E-services, E-marketing, E-business Legal Environment, Business Projects), E-business Management (E-business Platforms and Tools, Management of Social Accounts and Websites, Investment and Risk Management, Business Ethics);
International Marketing (30 credits): International Marketing Management (Marketing Management and Planning, Brand Management, International Market Research, Business Ethics), Integrated Marketing Communications (Direct and E-marketing, Content and Social Media Marketing, Management of Communication Measures, Consumer Behaviour).
Optional courses:
Students can choose:
• One of two specializations (30 credits);
• One of free elective modules (15 credits), e.g.
French and Spanish Language and Culture; Personality and Career; Business Change Management and etc.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
The programme reflects the market needs; is based on a module principle that allows ensuring the interdisciplinary of studies, flexible learning environment, enhancing the role of the student in the study process, encouraging his independence, activity, responsibility for the study results, integrating the practical and self-study assignments; performing one semester internship in business companies. The programme is orientated towards problem teaching, formation of the systemic approach for the student, socially responsible and ethical business. The study programme teachers are specialists with the business experience. Students of the programme will study in a higher school or perform practice in business company abroad for one semester.

Access to professional activity:
The graduates will be competitive in the international labor market; will have the skills and practical experience needed to communicate with business partners and clients; will be able to establish and develop own business; will be prepared for working in the departments of export, supply, customer service, marketing, project management, quality, e. commerce, international relations and communications, product and business development of the international business companies.
Access to further study:
The graduates are entitled to a credit transfer system for entering level one university study programmes, they can choose Master programmes. The continuation of studies is possible in the study programmes in the field of business, management, marketing in Lithuanian and/or foreign universities.
