General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To train a specialist in the field of management, able to analyse the internal and external environment of an institution/enterprise or its division; administer the business processes of using modern information technologies; apply the principles of leadership and sustainable management while solving practical management issues and act independently and creatively in changing economic conditions.
Learning outcomes:
1. Able to define the basic management concepts and principles and understand the theories and functions of management when applied to the practical operation of a sustainable organisation or division.
2. Able to define and analyse the internal and external environment of an organisation and its divisions and apply knowledge of economics, marketing, accounting, hand uman resources management to monitor and optimise the processes within the organisation.
3. Able to conduct applied research applying quantitative and qualitative research methods and use the collected information in a targeted way to solve management issues.
4. Able to administer office activities and labour relations following legislation and the principles of human resources management and professional ethics.
5. Able to use modern technology to develop processes and manage office documents in a sustainable organization.
6. Able to collect, organise and analyse data on the performance of a business/public organisation or its divisions and propose socially responsible management solutions.
7.1. Able to manage project activities, considering the resources and financial sustainability of the organisation in compliance with legal requirements.
7.2. Able to manage relations with customers using appropriate information and communication tools and technologies.
7.3. Able to organise public procurement procedures following public procurement legislation and use the Central Public Procurement Information System (CVPIS).
8. Able to work individually and as part of a team, communicate and cooperate in the national and international professional environment.
9. Able to express themselves persuasively and fluently, both orally and in writing, and represent the organisation appropriately in Lithuania and internationally.
10. Able to plan personal career, analyse problems by applying creativity, critical thinking and building positive relationships with colleagues.
11. Able to integrate knowledge, skills and abilities to propose solutions to the challenges facing the organization.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, seminars, discussions, debates, individual and group practical exercises, self-written papers, video views, open to the public the results of presentations, workshops plants, design and research works, case (problem situations) analysis, preparation of articles, integrated tasks.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The System of Accumulative Assessment is used. Methods of assessment: individual/group integrated projects or/and course/ research papers, tests, reports, exams, report on a case study and its presentation, report on a video situation and its presentation, project report, presentation of individual assignments, portfolio method, individual/group integrated self-study assignment, observation of a task performance, project group presentation, presentation of individual self-study assignments, final thesis.

General studies (15 credits):
Business Communication (Basics of Document and IT Management, Language Culture and Public Speaking, Communication Psychology, Professional Foreign Language 1).
Study field modules - 150 credits.
1. Study modules (105 credits):
Economics (Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Basics of Applied Research), Organization and Management (Management, Marketing, Accounting and Taxes); Human Resource Management (Human Resource Management, Law, Corporate Culture and Labour Psychology), Office Process Management (Office Procedures Management, Document Management and Document Process Management IT Systems, Professional Foreign Language 2), Organization Communication (Organization Communication Management, Professional Ethics and International, Organization Communication IT Systems Management, Professional Foreign Language 3), Optional modules: Business Administration (Enterprise Economics, Business Finances, Business Law, Sustainable Business)/ Public Sector Administration (Public Service Administration, Public Finances, Fundamentals of Public Procurement, Sustainable Organization Management); Project Management (Project Administration, Project Finances, Project Legal Regulation)/ Customer Management (Customer Relationship Management and Customer Management Systems, Conflict Management, Consumer Behaviour).
Public procurement management (Organisation of Public Procurement, Public Procurement Law, Sustainable Procurement).
2. Practical training (30 Credits): Organization Management Internship (Creative Project Management, Creative Development Methods, Internship in a Simulation Company (SC)) - 15 Credits, Final Internship - 15 Credits.
3. Final Thesis (Final Internship, Final Project) – 15 Credits.

Students can choose:
• Two out of the four optional modules in the study sphere (30 credits).
• One of Free Elective Modules (15 credits), e.g. Personality and Career, Global Economics, French and Spanish Language and Culture, Eastern Slavic Culture and Russian Language, etc.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
Study programme is based on the modular principle that allows to ensure the interdisciplinary of studies, flexible learning environment, enhance the student’s role in the study process, encourage his/her independence, activeness, responsibility for one’s learning outcomes, integrate the practical and self-study assignments.
The study programme lecturers are specialists with practical experience in Management, Business Administration and Economics fields.
The programme reflects the market needs; is orientated towards problem-based teaching, formation of the systemic approach for the student, socially responsible and ethical business.
Access to professional activity or further study:
Access to professional activity:
The graduates will be ready to work as administrators and managers in different types of institutions (both public and private), company and organization staff, project, public procurement etc. departments, having gained practical experience in managing institutional departments and setting up as well as running their own organization.
Access to further study:
The graduates are entitled to a credit transfer system for entering level one university study programmes, they can choose Master programmes. The continuation of studies is possible in the study programmes in the field of management and business in Lithuanian and/or foreign universities.
